BIO
I’ve been involved in the field of Learning and Development for over twenty-five years. I’ve had direct managerial experience as a Marine Corps Officer, University Administrator, and Manager of Training & Development within a financial services corporation.
I’ve also had experience as a graduate faculty member within the Management & Information Sciences Department at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. I taught a number of graduate classes, including Management Theory, Organizational Behavior and Strategic Management within the University’s MBA Program.
My educational experiences include a Ph.D. from Temple University in Organizational Psychology and a Master’s Degree from Glassboro State College, where I was trained as a counselor. I’ve also been designated an MBTI® Master Practitioner by Consulting Psychologist Press. I led the MBTI® Certification Course for Practioners for a number of years.
I’m currently the CEO of J.R. Training, Inc., a Training and Organizational Development Consulting Firm.

I have extensive experience designing and leading training seminars. I spend on average 140 days every year working with groups – either leading seminars or in other types of speaking engagements.
I’ve been on faculty with the American Management Association (AMA) since 1991. Within AMA, I’ve authored a variety of public seminars including:

- The Executive Effectiveness Course
- Performance Management: From Hiring to Firing
- Management Skills for The Experienced Manager
I’ve also been on faculty with the Project Management Institute (PMI) for over 16 years. One of my designs – Influencing Without Authority – has been running continuously within PMI Seminar Worlds for the last fifteen years.

PERSONAL LIFE
I do work around the world, but I live in the Philadelphia area. Yes. I am an Eagles fan.
I’ve been married for thirty-four years (my wife – lovingly I hope – says it seems like a hundred and thirty-four). We have three children, who I am extremely proud of – Chris, Sean and Kellsey. We also have a wonderful Daughter-In-Law Lindsay and two unbelievable grandchildren, Carter and Avery. Our Goldendoodle Gracie rounds out our family.
